Where is my data kept?  Is it safe?

Your date is kept on servers in our secure storage facility.   The facility is staffed 7 days per week and is secure.

Why should I use your service and not a bigger more well known company?

Because I am your "local guy".  I am not a big impersonal corporation.  And you are my customer, not a number.  Use this service to protect your files because you can reach me, not a "press this, press that" series of prompts!! 

Do I get a CD or flash drive?

No, your data is backed up on our servers.  If you want to run local backups at your home or business, we encourage that as yet another way to provide redundant protection for your files. 

Why do I need this service?

Because the service is not located at your home or office.  If a natural or other disaster strikes your home or office, backups stored there are of no use and are likely to be destroyed.  RemoteBackup© stores your data away from your location, so your files will be unaffected by any events at your location.   Remember, no matter HOW careful you are, flash drives can be lost, stolen or easily damaged.

How do I get files restored?

You first must contact us and let us know which files to restore.  Then make sure you leave your PC(s) powered up so we can run the restore procedure.

Can anybody read my files?  I want my data protected.

No, your files are encrypted as part of the backup process.   Only when your files are restored can they be read, and only by YOU
